The Counter: Take 2

Last week was a bit of a scorcher to say the least so Josh and I decided to go out Friday rather than make food (the previous Friday we fried catfish and had homemade lemonade). After much debate on where to go we decided on The Counter in Walnut Creek. Since the day had been so hot, we were able to sit outside under the stars and enjoy the night. Unfortunately this hamper my phone's pictures since the lighting wasn't exactly ideal.

We both chose to make custom burgers. Josh made more of classic burger while I went for a Mediterranean inspires burger. He had a 2/3 lb. beef patty on a classic (delish!) bun, lettuce, Swiss cheese, fried egg, bacon, and BBQ sauce. I had a 1/3 lb. beef patty on a honey wheat bun, feta cheese, tomatoes, onions, sliced cucumbers, avocado, and tzatziki sauce. Both were great as were our 50/50 appetizer of onion straws and shoestring fries with 2 sauces.

Rating of the counter for the night: 2 thumbs way up
