One last meal in the Burg

After a big lunch courtesy of Five Guys, it took my mom and I a long time to get hungry again for dinner. Due to the logistics of our hotel's shuttle service, we were limited to choosing a place to eat within walking distance of the hotel. Luckily there were a great number and great variety of eateries in our area. As we walked along Forbes Ave we decided we wanted something we could order to go so that we could catch our favorite Friday night drama, NBC's Grimm.

During our walk, Quakers Steak & lube caught our eye. Don't let the name throw you off, it's a chicken wings place not a car shop (although it seems as though it originated at one). Apparently it's been visited by the television show Man vs Food and after eating our chicken wings (while watching Grimm of course) my mom and I can see why. The restaurant has 20 flavors ranging from 90 to 500,000 Scoville units (the unit of measure for quantifying heat). We ordered a 22 piece wing bucket with golden garlic and Asian sesame flavors. The flavors were tangy, the service was fast, and the prices were cheap as well.

We would definitely come back again for more Friday night wings & things.

Welcome to the Lube!
