Baking with Friends

Roommate bonding activities of the day:
1) Run a 5K race

2) Bake a carrot cake with cream cheese icing

Now I am admittedly no baker of any kind so more than anything I was just a helping hand (more accurately carrot grating hands) for her. But it was fun and a good distraction from the readings we both have to do.

My task: turn these carrots...

Into this finely grated batch...

Using this arsenal of weapons, more often than not being the 

hand grater since the electronic grinder kept overheating.

Add the carrots to the batter my roommate whipped up,

 then bake for 40 minutes.

Meanwhile make the cream cheese frosting and, of course lick, the beater.
