JULY BABIES!

CELEBRATION TIME!!! As if the beautiful bay area weather wasn't enough cause to celebrate, two July birthdays in the family definitely served as an excuse to go out for dinner. After much dispute about conflicting schedules and where to eat we all settled on...

The Italian restaurant Pasta Pomodoro
Here's the run down of the scrumptious food we ate:

Rustic Bread

Fresh Lemonade complete with personal shot glass

Tortellini soup
Savory chicken broth, sliced braised beef, tortellini, organic spinach

While we were waiting for our main courses Monique took some candids. The service was a little slow, not sure why though because the restaurant was not overly packed.

Michelle and Mom
THE BIRTHDAY GIRLS!

Dani enjoying her Sprite

Dad anxiously awaiting his entree

Then finally, our entrees came...

Mom ordered Tortellini Alla Manna
Braised beef and pork tortellini with house-cured niman ranch pancetta, fresh sage and cream

Dad stuck with a favorite of his, the Conchiglie Gamberi
Pasta shells with gulf shrimp, asparagus, tomato, cream and shrimp stock reduction

Dani opted for the Ravioli Di Margo
Tender ravioli filled with ricotta and spinach topped with pomodoro sauce

Michelle tried the Frutti Di Mare
Spaghetti with P. E. I. Mussels, manila clams, gulf shrimp, calamari and garlic in a light tomato sauce

Monique went with the Eggplant Parmigiana
Thick eggplant slices, breaded and topped with spicy tomato sauce, fresh belfiore mozzarella, provolone and fresh basil
And of course no meal is complete without some veggies... Like our Spinaci
Sauteed organic spinach, pine nuts, extra virgin olive oil and garlic
