First Beach then Burgers

This weekend Dani and I are in Los Angeles for the 26th Annual UCLA Jazz Reggae Festival. Before the festival starts we decided to do some sun soaking at one of my favorite beaches, Manhattan beach. After about 2 hours of relaxation we decided to stop for lunch. Dani suggested The Counter since she had never been and was craving a good burger. We ended up sharing a 50/50 fries, which consisted of half sweet potato half Parmesan fries. Oh man, those Parmesan fries were so good. One of the workers there said he has never met someone who didn't like them. For our meals, Dani ordered a custom Hawaiian inspired burger and I opted for their market special burger. Dani's order consisted of 1/3 lb beef patty, organic mixed greens, lettuce, tomato, grilled pineapple, provolone cheese
. Served on a hamburger bun with ginger soy glaze sauce. My burger consisted of 1/3 lb Shrimp burger patty topped with organic mixed greens, tomato, jimaca slaw. Served on a hamburger bun with whipped avocado sauce. Our food was amazing! I can't even put into words how good it was. Hopefully these pictures can give a taste.. ;)
